Originally from Van Buren, Arkansas, Kara graduated with a B.S. in Human Resources and Workforce Development Education from the University of Arkansas, and went on to serve as an Electrician’s Mate in U.S. Navy's highly-demanding Naval Nuclear Power Program. After completing her military service, she transitioned into civilian roles, working as a background investigator at J.B. Hunt Transport and later in data administration for Tennessee Connections Academy. Kara joined Flyway in September 2022 and supports daily operations, assist with project management, accounting, technical support and asset management.

Kara and her husband Jason have three dogs—Rosie, Tucker, and Winnie—and enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and exploring the area.
